The Landrum City Council is pleased to announce and invite interested persons to apply and serve on a planning committee to help plan for the new Farmer’s Market Pavilion.

The site is located on the southwest intersection of W. Rutherford Street and S. Randolph Avenue one block west of Highway 176 (Ashville Highway) immediately west of Downtown Landrum. The City acquired the 0.98 acre parcel on W. Rutherford Street & S. Randolph Avenue in November 2018 for the purpose of constructing a permanent pavilion for the Farmer’s Market.

The proposed project will be a multi-purpose pavilion. In addition to serving as a permanent home for an expanded Landrum Farmer’s Market, the pavilion is planned to be able to accommodate art festivals, quilt shows, fairs and other community events. The proposed “peach shed” design concept will be open-air building with retractable quilt decorated doors. The committee is expected to meet with the architect of the project several times over the next six months.
