Salon relocates to Mill Spring to accommodate growing business

MILL SPRING — In the past month, local business Tangles and Toes Hair and Nail Salon has relocated to Mill Spring to provide customers with more services and more space for their cosmetic needs.

Pam Tessnear began doing hair 15 years ago to follow her childhood dream, and Tangles and Toes has made that dream come true since then. For Tessnear — who was recently named 2018’s Best Hairstylist in the Bulletin’s first-ever Best of the Best Readers’ Choice Awards — her salon’s flourishing business  has sparked the need for her to move into a larger location.

“I wanted to relocate for better parking, a better location and to offer nail services,” Tessnear said. “We now take walk-ins as well.”

Despite the growth, Tessnear still holds steadfast to the family-oriented aspects of her salon.

“We are a family-focused business, and cater to the entire family — young or old, male or female,” Tessnear said. “We thrive to give you a fun, relaxing and enjoyable experience.”

This family environment is being carried to the new location in Mill Spring, with an opening celebration with activities for all ages. The kickoff will include children’s face painting, 30 percent off all retail prices, door prizes and a free barbecue lunch.

Tessnear and the new team encourages everyone to join them at the kickoff from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Tangles and Toes, located at 82 Highwaywy 9, North Suite 7, Mill Spring, in the Arledge Building.
