Driver trapped after striking fire truck, flipping vehicle

MILL SPRING — Two separate accidents involving flipped vehicles occurred along U.S. 74 Wednesday afternoon.

Polk County Emergency Management Director Bobby Arledge said no serious injuries occurred, but one person was transported to the hospital.

Around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, emergency officials responded to a truck that had rolled over on the highway. While a fire truck was on U.S. 74, a car hit the fire truck and flipped as well.

The driver of the car that hit the truck was trapped in the vehicle for a short amount of time, and was taken to the hospital.

The accidents occurred near the Pea Ridge Road exit of U.S. 74.
