In a ceremony conducted at the June 18 meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon, the club inducted Willard Teaster, owner of Tryon IGA Supermarket, into the Society of Paul Harris. The Paul Harris Society was established by Rotary International and recognizes those who make significant contributions to the ideals of Rotary. In making the award, Club President Ken Shull talked of the numerous contributions made by Teaster and Tryon IGA to the betterment of the entire community. Pictured, from left, is Rotarian Roger Newman, Willard Teaster  and Rotary President Ken Shull. (Submitted by Bill Hillhouse)
