On Jan. 29, Foothills Gymnastics sent seven girls from their Excel Gold and Excel Silver teams to the first competition of the season. Caity Elledge, Adelyn Pena, Hurley Bell, Gabby Savaia, Brooklyn Jones, Eliza Then and Grace Settles competed in the Foothills Frostbite Invitational in Hickory, North Carolina. The Foothills Gymnastics Excel Silver team placed fourth , with Grace scoring 9.475 on the uneven bars, and Caity earning first on floor, and tying for second overall. Gabby Savaia earned first on beam, third on vault and third on bars. The girls are preparing for two more competitions in February. (Photos by Sharol Ard)
