Landrum sophomore L. C.
Williams caught his first touchdown pass of the season (a 25-yard play from quarterback Michael Clark), but the Cardinals fell to host Pendleton, 38-6, in a non-region football game Friday evening, Oct. 20.

The Cardinals (1-8 overall, and 0-3 in the region) close their regular season this Friday, Oct. 27 at and against region rival Blacksburg. Game time is 7:30.

Landrum head coach Jason Farmer noted that Pendleton has a very good, athletic and fast team. “It was hard to stop them at times,” Farmer observed. Even so, the Cardinals were down just 14-6 with five minutes remaining in the first half.

“We did some good things,” Farmer remarked, adding, “Our kids continue to play hard.”

Farmer has noted that some very fine players are coming up through the ranks, and will help the team in subsequent seasons.
