Polk County’s Office of Agricultural Economic Development (AED) and Polk County Farm Bureau are pleased to invite the public to the first Friends of Agriculture Breakfast of the season on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 a.m.

The AED Office is excited to announce the relocation of this free event from the 4-H Building in Columbus to the Green Creek Community Center in Green Creek located at 25 Shields Dr., Tryon.

Each Friends of Agriculture breakfast features a local food breakfast and an educational presentation on areas of interest to our community of farmers, gardeners, and food enthusiasts. This month’s breakfast will feature a presentation on the benefits of agritourism from Annie Baggett, agritourism marketing specialist with N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
