- Fall practice has started for Polk County’s teams, and the athletes have returned to the gym, fields and courts for pre-season workouts and training. Athletes at Polk County High School officially returned to courts and fields on Monday for the first day of practice for the fall sports season.
Polk County’s football squad, led by head coach Bruce Ollis in his return to the program, began its workout at 7:30 a.m., with other teams swinging into action soon after.
Among those in action early Monday were Polk County’s soccer squad, led by first-year head coach Jose Trejo, and the Wolverine volleyball squad, working out with head coach Molly Hill at Polk County Middle School while renovations to the PCHS gym are completed.
