On May 20, Foothills Gymnastics sent a team to the Southern Regional Championships. The team’s many hours of sweat and hard work paid off.

Foothill Gymnastics Excel Bronze girls competed against some tough competition but didn’t let it get them down.

Congratulations to Caity Elledge on being regional all around champion, regional beam champion, regional floor champion, second on vault, and fourth on bars.

Congratulations to Grace Settles on earning third place all around, second on vault with a 9.675, second on floor, and sixth on bars.

Congratulations to Elize on earning fifth all around with a score 37.675, fourth on bars, fifth on beam and fifth on floor.

Also, congratulations to Alana Helton who placed fourth on beam, fifth on floor and eighth on bars.

Foothill Gymnastics Excel Silver girls had a strong finish.

Congratulations to Gabby Savaia who earned first place all around with a 37.75, first place on floor, second on vault, fourth on bars and fourth on beam.

Congratulations also to Josahanny Hernandez who placed second all around with a 37.85, first on beam with a 9.65, second on vault, third on bars, and fifth on floor. 

Well done, Hurley Bell, who was the regional champion on bars, second on vault, second on floor, third all around and fifth on beam.

Good job, Brooklyn Jones, who placed second on bars, third all around, third on beam, and eighth on vault and floor.

Congratulations Bella Sheffron who earned Regional Champion on floor with a 9.5, fourth on bars, fifth on vault, sixth all around and eighth on beam.

Coach Jana Williamson expresses pride that all girls made 37 or higher, which were personal bests for all of them, as well as all the girls had all 9s and higher.

Foothill Gymnastics had five Excel Gold gymnasts compete at regionals.

Congratulations to Marly Humphries on being regional all around champion with a score 37.60, regional champion on bars, regional champion on floor, fourth on beam and fifth on vault.

Good job, Samantha Durham, on earning second place on vault, second on bars, third all around, fourth on floor and seventh on beam.

Nice job, Gabby Helton, on earning regional champion on beam with a score 9.6, fourth all around, fourth on bars, and sixth on floor.

Good work, Taylor Ashmore,on earning third on floor, fourth on beam, fifth all around, and fifth on bars.

Congratulations to Lela Duncan on earning fourth all around, fourth on bars, fourth on floor, and fifth on vault and beam. Coach Jana Williamson expresses pride at all the accomplishments.

Next for Foothills Gymnastics some girls from pre-team and recreational classes will participate in their first meet at the state games on June 17. Foothill Gymnastics team girls will head to nationals June 21-24.
