Foothills Gymnastics excels at state championship

On April 29, Foothills Gymnastics Academy sent a team to state championship. Though a small team, they represented the Foothills well.

Foothills Gymnastics Xcel Bronze girls worked hard and demonstrated their skills.

First place All  Around with 37.225, first place vault, first place bars, first place floor, third place beam.

Alana

First place bars, First place beam, third place floor, second place All Around.

Grace

First place All Around, first place vault, first place beam, first place floor, fifth place bars.

Caity

First place vault, second place bars, sixth place beam, fourth place All Around.

For some of these girls it was their first time competing at this level but they remained calm and were champions.

Foothills Gymnastics Academy’s Excel Silver team won third place at state with a score 112.35. This was a huge accomplishment with a team of only five girls.

Josahanny

First place All Around 37.75, first place bars, second on vault, third on beam, and third on floor.

Bella

Second place on floor, fourth on bars, and fourth All Around 36.975.

Hurley earned first place All  Around 36.925, first on bars, and first on beam.

Gabby earned first on vault, third on bars, and second All Around 36.90.

Brooklyn

Second on beam, third on bars, and third All Around 36.225. Each girl finished with their personal best score of the season.

Foothills Gymnastics Academy’s Excel Gold team won fifth place at state.

Gabby

Second on beam, third on vault, and fourth All Around.

Taylor won first place on floor, and seventh on vault.

Marly won second on bars, fourth on floor, and seventh All Around.

Lela

Third All Around, third on vault, and fourth on floor.

Sam

broke a 37 All around which earned her first All around, second on vault, second on beam, second on floor and third on bars.

After all of this hard work, Foothills Gymnastics is preparing for Regionals and National championships.
