Back by popular demand are free swim lessons for local youngsters, starting Monday, June 19 at Twin Lakes Park, Saluda, and sponsored by Saluda Community Land Trust (SCLT).
Lessons for children age 10 months through 13 years will be given by certified instructor Brian Lilburn, as they were last year.
Email email@example.com for information on how to register your child. Please include your name, cell phone number, email address, or some other means of contact. Those inquiring will receive information on registering their children, and how to select their lesson dates and times online.
A Polk County Community Foundation grant to SCLT will enable Lilburn to provide these lessons during the three weeks beginning June 19.
Lilburn remarked, “We are so excited to be coming back to Saluda. The positive feedback we received was overwhelming, and we are looking forward to teaching even more children this year, and giving more skills to the children who came last year.”
He added, “We have added an extra week, and are bringing a second instructor, in hopes of accommodating everyone.”
Classes will run from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. (each lesson will be shorter), during the weeks of June 19-23, June 26-30, and July 3-7.
