“Owl Prowl” to be offered at FENCE on March 31

Published 3:26 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2017

On Friday, March 31 at 8 p.m. meet at the FENCE center for a guided hike through the woods in search of owls. International bird guide Aaron Steed will be leading the Owl Prowl. This event is free and open to the public.

By late March, many owls are actively calling. If we are lucky, we may get to hear/see Great Horned, Eastern Screech, Barred and Barn Owls. Bring your flashlight or headlamp, your ‘inside voices,’ and get ready for some owling.

This event is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation. FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon.
