Don’t expect it to happen often this season, but Landrum’s varsity baseball team suffered a loss, 7-1, to visiting Chesnee, on Friday, March 24.

Christian Melick and Drew Black shared mound duties for the Cardinals, who got two hits apiece from Black, Jacob Murphy and Michael Clark.

The regional loss dropped the Cardinals to 10-2 and 0-1 in the region, before their home game against non-region Whitmire Monday evening.

On Thursday evening, March 30, the Cardinals travel to St. Joseph’s Catholic. Opening pitch is set for 7 p.m.
