Cinderella lost her glass slipper on Monday evening, but when “she” finds it, Landrum’s women’s basketball team will be back next year, with most of this season’s starters, and with high hopes of finishing even further along than did the 2016/17 squad, which was eliminated in the third round of state AA playoffs on Monday evening, Feb. 20.

In that contest, Andrew Jackson High School defeated the Cardinals, 55-42. Four of five of head coach Deon Brice’s starters are expected to return to the team, which closed this season at 22-4 overall.

Sara Price, a junior this season, and Kaylee Huntley, who will graduate this spring, were named to the All-Region team.
