Friendship Council planning MLK celebration

The Friendship Council will hold its regular December meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Roseland Center. Details for the Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration to be held at the Tryon Fine Arts Center on Saturday, Jan. 21, will be finalized. The Friendship Council is very grateful that it has been chosen to have this important program supported by a Free Events Grant from the Polk County Community Foundation.

On Friday, Dec. 13, the Friendship Council will meet for caroling at Benson Hall at White Oak at 5 p.m. President Emeritus Artie Hamilton (aka Santa) will lead the way. Any and all singers are welcome to join in. Caroling will be followed by a potluck dinner at St. Luke’s CME Church.

This is always great fun, and appreciated by the residents of Benson Hall. We’d love to have anyone who loves singing carols join us – be a member just for the evening!
