On Monday, Dec. 12, the Tryon Coffeehouse Co-op will host the first Veteran’s Coffeehouse Break from 9:30 to 11 a.m. An idea by Landrum resident Al Strom, the coffee break will be a get together for community veterans. There is no agenda; the goal is to get to know each other.

Veterans from all branches of the military are invited. During the first meeting, there will be a discussion about future monthly meetings including day of the month and time.

Vets will receive discounted coffees and pastries. The monthly Veteran’s Coffee Break is in memory of “Big Bob” Mason, Vietnam vet and father of Tracey Mason Daniels.
