Landrum’s number one duo of Elizabeth Parker and Hannah Meredith defeated their Spartanburg Christian Academy (SCA) tennis opponents in an eight-game pro set at Landrum on Tuesday, Sept. 6, the only win the Cardinals posted in the match.

“We competed well,” reported Landrum coach DJ Brown. “I knew we would be competitive. Our number four (senior Mallory McCarter) competed very well. She dropped the first set, 1-6, but fought back in the second set, to force a ten-point tiebreaker. Overall, it was a hard-fought match, and the girls competed well.”

On Monday, Sept. 12, the Cardinals visit Woodruff.

Next home matches are Sept. 14 against Chapman, and Sept. 19 against Woodruff. Both begin at 4:30 p.m.
