Joel Booker continues to mark his mark on the Arizona League.

The former Polk County standout finished Tuesday’s game against the AZL Athletics as the league leader in stolen bases, having swiped 16 bases in 17 attempts.

Booker also ranks second in the league in runs scored (20) and is tied for seventh in hits (27).

Batting leadoff and playing center field for the AZL White Sox, Booker is hitting .303 with five doubles, a triple and a homer. He ranks second on the team in RBI (13) and has committed just one error in 23 appearances.

The White Sox own a 9-15 record.

Polk County graduate Daniel Fraga finished Wednesday’s game against the Windy City ThunderBolts ranked sixth in the independent Frontier League in steals.

A member of the Florence Freedom, Fraga has swiped 18 bases in 24 attempts.

The former Wolverine is hitting .233 in 55 games with 12 doubles and 17 RBI. He finished 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Wednesday’s 3-0 win.

The Freedom are 24-33 on the season, but have won seven of their last 10 games.
