Polk County’s varsity wrestlers host Owen Thursday, Jan. 14 in the evening, in a meet postponed from Dec. 22. Start time is 6 p.m.  On Friday, Jan. 8, Polk suffered losses to Western Highlands Conference Mitchell (84-0) and Mountain Heritage (54-18) in a tri-meet at Mitchell.  Against Mountain Heritage, Polk’s Triston Watkins (106-pound match) pinned Will Caulkins, and Devin Panchyshyn pinned Isaiah Watts at 220 pounds. At 11, the Wolverines’ Alexander Boley won by forfeit.  On Friday, Jan. 15, WHC competition continues, as the Wolverines visit Hendersonville. Start time is 6 p.m.
