I am greatly saddened and disappointed to read about your decision to vote against the reinstatement of Patti Lovelace and Nancy Hasselbring to the PC Animal Cruelty Investigative Team.

The TDB printed an article in their Sept. 1, 2015 edition, which I find very disturbing in nature.  In this scenario, there is absolutely no room for ‘playing politics.’  I am ashamed that my Commissioners are functioning at this low level, especially at the expense of the well being of helpless animals.

These two women have worked tirelessly on behalf of animal welfare and they must be judged solely on performance and dedication to the tasks at hand.  They have definitely proven their worth as animal cruelty investigators and you are dead wrong in making this determination to dismiss them.

I strongly urge you reconsider this dastardly decision and reappoint these two highly dedicated women.

Our county desperately needs them and their expertise on the Polk County Animal Cruelty investigator team alongside Savage, King, Knox, Lane-Maunder and Probanz.
