PCHS softball team receives awards

Following a 21-4 varsity season, which included two wins in the state playoffs, Polk County High School softball players were honored recently, as follows:

 

Varsity:

 

MVP: Ashley Scruggs (pitcher, with 21 wins) and Maranda Gosnell.

Miss Wolverine: Autumn Owen.

Best offense: Hayley Kropp.

Best defense: Alexis McCraw (center fielder) and Ashley Kropp (catcher).

Most improved: Kassidy Reynolds.

Coaches’ Award: Kinsley Jackson and Maddy Foy.

Heart and Soul Award: Haley Fowler.

 

Junior Varsity:

 

MVP: Ashley Ponder and Karli Wood.

Best offense: Katelyn Allison.

Best defense: Caitlin Britton.

Coaches’ Award: Taylor Plumley and Caitlin Davis.

Miss Wolverine: Amber Miller.

Rookie of the Year: Hannah Emory.
