Winning just one of three matches last week was not what Polk County High School soccer coach Lennox Charles was trying to accomplish, but the Wolverines won their only conference contest, a 3-0 win over Avery, on March 23.

After that, Polk (6-2 overall, and 4-0 in conference matches) suffered 5-1 losses to both A.C. Reynolds on March 24 and T.C. Roberson on March 26.

Tomorrow, April 1, the Wolverines will host and have their hands full with Hendersonville. On Thursday, West Henderson’s team visits Columbus. JV action begins at 5 p.m. on both days, with varsity play getting underway around 7.
