On March 21-23, the Polk County High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes attended the SC FCA High School Retreat at Garden City Beach, S.C.
Frank Reynoso, on staff with FCA in Orlando, Fla., used multiple sessions to speak to students on how to break the “cycle of madness” in their lives.
Many of the students responded positively to his teaching over the course of the weekend.
The worship was enthusiastically led by father-daughter group, 2 Moon as well.
Students were placed in huddle groups whom they spent the majority of the weekend with. In these huddle groups, students participated in athletic competition and were also able to discuss the topics presented by the speaker and issues that they are dealing with in their lives.
The Polk students who attended were Caroline Lee, Leah Stockdale, Mary Smith, Sarah Phipps, Emily Noland, Sammie Haas, Malena Roman, Elena Preston, Jessica Bentley, Haley Viehman, Anthony Carson, Lauren Stratman, and Jamie Greene.
