The Tryon Women’s Golf Association weekly event for Tuesday, May 28 was the end-of-the-month nine-hole Wing Ding. 28 players participated and the results are as follows:

First: Shirl Axtell, Mary Lou Diekmann, Ibby Knox, Nancy Hiley and Georgeanne Murphy. (37)

Second: Cynthia Terwilliger, Dee White, Lynn Chalmers and Becky Kennedy. (39)

Third: Bonnie Sakos, Helen Faber, Ann Gargiulo and Parky Flanagan. (40)

Golf was followed by the monthly luncheon/meeting chaired by Peggy Woodward and assisted by Anne Connolly, Brenda Bonnette and Caroline Brown.

The event for Tuesday, June 4 will be low gross, low net, combined with State Play Day – low 18-hole net.  Be sure to sign up at the Pro Shop.

A reminder that the earlier start times of 8 a.m. for the 18-holers and  8:30 a.m. for the 9-holers will be in effect.
