Polk district court results

Aug. 29, 2012 session:
In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 187 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are printed as they appear in court records):
Angella Michelle Fears was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce, level 2 driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. Fears was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, seven days in jail, a $300 fine and court costs for driving while impaired and 24 months supervised probation for possession of marijuana and driving while license revoked.
Jamal Rashuadd Garvin was convicted of speeding 110 mph in a 65 mph zone and driving after consuming under age 21. Garvin was sentenced to 19 days in jail with credit for time served.
Brian Scott Hayes was convicted of second-degree trespass and simple assault. Hayes was sentenced to 24 days in jail with credit for time served.
Kathy Bridge Hutchins was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Hutchins was fined $30 and court costs.
Angel Arnoldo Lopez was convicted of speeding 70 mph in a 65 mph zone. Lopez was fined $20 and court costs.
William Randall Matson was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Matson was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Alexandria Eliza Moore was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired and level 2 driving while impaired. Moore was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $50 fine and court costs for level 5 driving while impaired and 18 months supervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs for level 2 driving while impaired. Moore was also sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for three days.
Thomas David Moran was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Moran was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $75 fine and court costs.
Jeffery Dean Odom was convicted of level 4 driving while impaired. Odom was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Thomas Ralph was convicted of unsafe passing yellow line and drive left of center. Ralph was fined $100 and court costs.
Rico Amaro Shipman was convicted of felony breaking and or entering, injury to personal property and larceny after breaking and entering. Shipman was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, $1,000 in restitution and court costs.
Mary T. Stamper was convicted of speeding 95 mph in a 65 mph zone. Stamper was fined $95 and court costs.
Jeffery Michael Tomko was convicted of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Tomko was sentenced to 19 days in jail with credit for time served.
Christian B. Whiteside was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Whiteside was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Hollys Lavon Williams was convicted of resisting public officer and no operator’s license. Williams was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
James Charles Wyatt was convicted of driving while license revoked. Wyatt was sentenced to 18 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
