Margie Blanton Lee

Margie Blanton Lee, 78, of Lake Adger Road, Mill Spring, died Friday, January 15, 2010 in Smith-Phayer Hospice House, Landrum.
Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Binam and Florence G. Jackson Blanton. She returned to Polk County in 2005 after retiring as an LPN from Liberty Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. She was a member of the Coopers Gap Baptist Church, Mill Spring.
Surviving are: her husband, Homer Lee of Pocomoke City, Md.; two sons, Richard Lee of Felton, Pa.; Randall Lee of Mill Spring; three sisters, Mildred Hartley of Newland, N.C.; Cora Ingles of Conover, N.C., and Dorothy Simpson of Chesnee, S.C.; four brothers, Grant Blanton of Mt. Holly, N.C., Jesse Blanton of Baltimore, Md., Gayther Blanton of Iron Station, N.C. and Roger Blanton of Mill Spring. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a son, James H. Lee, a daughter Shirley Ann Lee, and brother, Luther Blanton.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 in the Coopers Gap Baptist Church, Mill Spring, with Rev. David B. Turner and Rev. Warren Elliott officiating.
Burial was in the Coopers Gap Baptist Church Cemetery, Mill Spring.
