The Tuesday, January 5, Polk County Historical Association Program will explore the legends and historical facts of the mountains surrounding Polk County.

Anna Conner will give some, perhaps little known, stories about the many mountains we call our own. Some of our mountains we share with South Carolina (Hogback Mountain) and Rutherford and Henderson Counties (Wildcat Spur), but they all have a history in the development of Polk County.

The program will begin at 2:30 pm at the museum at 60 Walker Street in Columbus. The entrance is at the rear of the building. Everyone is welcome.
