House of Flags Museum receives community foundation grant

The Polk County Community Foundation has awarded a substantial grant to the House of Flags Museum. The $7,400 grant has been used to install a heating/cooling system on the second floor of the museum. This effort completes the remodeling of the second floor, making it useable year round. The large presentation room and board room there are available for meetings by other not for profit organizations. The board of directors for the museum is most grateful for this support from the Polk County Community Foundation.

The House of Flags Museum is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Special openings are available for groups. Contact 894-5640 to schedule special group tours.
