The school had its beginning in the 1921-1923 era. Later on Sunny View High School and part of Stearns High School in Columbus came to Mill Spring making it one of the largest schools in Polk County.   It has a rich history as a country school, which was lacking some of the facilities that other schools in the county had such as a basketball gym.  Even with some handicaps it enjoyed having top quality teachers and above average students who went on to be leaders in their vocation as well as in their communities.

Last year entertainment included former student Bobby Hamilton’s band and former student Becky Moore Bosselman, who performed a skit to the song “I got his picture, she got him.”

The committee encourages all Mill Spring students and teachers to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring finger foods and drinks to the event.
