Nancy continued visiting her sister Nora during the Flynn’s years in Tryon, as did Nora’s daughter from a previous marriage, a woman who would become the celebrated British actress and comedienne, Joyce Grenfell.

Other frequent guests at Little Orchard, as well as Oak Hall Hotel and the Pine Crest Inn, were a young novelist and his wife, Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, and the British actor David Niven.
