SCLT board members enjoy organizational retreat

Published 4:44pm Friday, March 1, 2013

Saluda Community Land Trust (SCLT) board members enjoyed a two-day organizational workshop during January and February with two local facilitators, Lisa and Jim Murphy of J. W. Murphy & Associates.

A grant from the Polk County Community Foundation allowed the 5-year-old land trust to reflect on where they have been, where they want to go in the future and how to get there.

The grant also allowed funding for a community night, where SCLT members and friends were invited to enjoy a covered dish supper at the Saluda Inn and Wine Cellar.

This gave board members a chance to hear their neighbor’s input on current and future projects, as well as let the community know some of SCLT’s plans and ideas.
