“Storytelling Jam” for January Fun & Learning Night

Long ago on the cold dark winter nights our ancestors would gather together for warmth and companionship and tell stories and sing songs to drive away the darkness.

The Story Telling Jam will attempt to recreate that feeling. Join us Wednesday, Jan. 20 in the Fellowship Hall of the Congregational Church, 210 Melrose Ave. Tryon, for an evening of sharing. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with an optional homemade vegetable soup supper complete with homemade cornbread and dessert offered for a donation to the Hands of Change Youth Service Group.

The stories begin at 6 p.m. We will be sharing stories, tales, anecdotes, poems and songs. Come bring a tune, poem or tale and join the fun. This program is open to everyone and is offered free of charge.  For more information contact the Congregational Church 828-859-9414.
