Welborn to speak at Pea Ridge gathering April 14

The next Pea Ridge community gathering will be on Thursday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in the community center.  Area residents and interested persons are cordially invited to attend and bring finger foods and beverage. Paper ware and ice will be provided. The center is located at 207 Big Level Rd., three and a half miles east of Mill Spring, just off Hwy. 108.

This meeting will be an opportunity to meet the new Polk County Extension Agent Scott Welborn. Welborn will tell you about himself and will answer questions you might have pertaining to the work he does.

Reminders:  You may bring your recyclables to the center any time all day Thursday, April 14 as the Polk County recycling containers will be located inside the tennis court fence for your drop-off. The truck will pick up early on Friday, April 15.

The new rule for separating your items is to make sure to keep plastics with a #1 or #2 in separate bags.

If you have questions, please call Daryl Hardin at 828-894-8376.
