Dylan Ballentine and Tana Harris compete in Mission Possible Event

Three teams from the Polk County Middle School Science Olympiad Team competed at the North Carolina Science Olympiad finals at NC State University on April 23.  Attending were Maci Jackson, Sydney Metcalf, Dylan Ballentine, Tana Harris, Gracie Lance, and Kalob Jackson.

In the Scrambler event, Maci Jackson and Sydney Metcalf placed 15th out of 54 teams. In the Mission Possible event, Dylan Ballentine and Tana Harris earned the 10th place metal also out of 54 teams. Also in attendance were Coaches Elisa Flynn and Dr. Bob Pettis and parent chaperon Brandi Jackson.
