PCHA to hold annual and May meeting
Polk County was named in honor of Colonel William Polk. He served as a renowned officer in the Continental Army during the War for American Independence.
On Tuesday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. at the Polk County museum in Columbus, Sterling Johnson of Sterling Video will talk about Colonel Polk’s Revolutionary War experiences and how he served as a dedicated public servant after the war. Sterling will also outline his plans to develop a documentary video of this unusual man.
The program will follow after a brief Polk County Historical Association annual meeting where new board members will be voted in. All are welcome.
