Landrum Quilters to meet

The Landrum Quilters meet at the Gowensville Community Center on the second Thursday at 9:30 a. m. A bee takes place on the fourth Monday at 9:30 a.m. The club’s purpose is to promote an interest in the art of quilting and works with area non-profits on philanthropy projects.

It also sponsors an annual National Quilting Day event in March at the Landrum Library. The Airing of the Quilts, held in even-numbered years, alternates with a biennial quilt show in June on odd-numbered years.

Visitors are welcome. The community center is located on Highway 11, north of the intersection with Highway 14. For more information visit landrumquilters.com or call Lynn Grable, president, at 864-472-8515.
