Columbus Police Department report for February

During the month of February 2016, the Columbus Police Department answered 582 calls for service.

There were 179 traffic and criminal charges, including 45 speeding citations, 19 arrests, 12 no operator’s license, 12 driving while license revoked, 33 drug charges, seven uninsured motorists, three careless and reckless driving, 28 registration violations and three open containers.

There were 19 arrests, including seven felony arrests, 12 misdemeanor arrests and five fugitives.

Officers completed 7,627 premise checks, including 138 residences, 7,249 businesses and 240 churches.

Officers also received 48 training hours, assisted other agencies 12 times and completed 264 community patrols.
