Merica Ann Parker Kuykendall, 68, of 537 Alamo Street passed away January 8, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Leland and Omie Stiles Parker. She was the wife of Mack Glenn Kuykendall for 50 years. She was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church and retired as the Site Supervisor Nurse at New Horizons in Gaffney.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Terry Kuykendall of Spartanburg and a daughter, Tracie Jones of Spartanburg; three brothers, Austin Parker of Columbus, Rev. John Parker of Landrum, and Rev. James Parker of Landrum; two sisters, Cora Morris of Landrum and Sandra Nicholson of Lynn; six grandchildren Matthew Kuykendall, Amanda Kuykendall Torres, Jeffrey Kuykendall, Camila, Kyle and Kayla Martin.
She was predeceased by a son, Ty Kuykendall.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 at Blue Ridge Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. John Parker, Rev. Andy Parker, Rev. Travis Parker and Rev. Jeff Johnson. Burial was in the church cemetery.
