Mill Spring– Eva Mae Walker Moss, 88, of Mill Spring, passed away Sunday morning, May 28, 2023, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.

She was born in Polk County on May 30, 1934, to the late Joe Lynn Walker and Nora Splawn Walker. Eva was the loving wife of the late Franklin Junior Moss who passed away in 2012. Eva and Junior spent their days together on earth hand in hand as lifelong cattle farmers. Now they are together again in God’s kingdom. She was a longtime member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Zelda Abernathy, Gail Watson, and Anita Ledbetter; two sons, Mike Moss and Randy Moss. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 2, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in Mill Spring First Baptist Church.

A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church with Reverend Brannon Poore officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
