Polk County District Court results – 10/19/22

In Polk County District Court on Oct. 19, 2022 with Judge Rick Walker presiding, 133 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

David Allen Ballard was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Ballard was fined $30 and court costs.

Christopher M. Case was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Case was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served. 

Anthony Paul Casturao was convicted of assault and battery. Casturao was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs. 

Cheryl L. Fortenberry was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Fortenberry was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for time served. 

Jared Franklin Fowler was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Fowler was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served. 

Vincent Mikey George was convicted of careless and reckless driving. George was fined $50 and court costs. 

Milagro D. Guzman was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Guzman was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs. 

Gregory Allen Hempe was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Hempe was fined $30 and court costs. 

Savanna Brook Lachica was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Lachica was fined $30 and court costs. 

Patrick Alexander Lay was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Lay was fined $30 and court costs. 

Latwyella Maxwell was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Maxwell was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $600 lab fee and court costs. 

Issac Hugh Powell was convicted of flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Powell was sentenced to 75 days in jail with 14 days credit. 

Katia Denisse Rivera was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Rivera was fined $30 and court costs. 

Andrew Pierce Tolley was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor and level 2 driving while impaired. Tolley was sentenced to 43 days in jail with 43 days credit, 3 years supervised probation, a $300 fine and court costs. 

Shilo B. Weston was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Weston was fined $30 and court costs. 

Ashley K. Whiteside was convicted of failure to secure passenger under 16/ Whiteside was fined $50.
