Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Tryon, NC—Timothy J. Bosien, 61 , of Tryon NC, passed away joyfully and peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 7, 2020.

Tim was one of Polk County’s finest paramedics. He served both Polk and Spartanburg County as a paramedic for over two decades until his health prevented him from continuing his career. Continuing a healing legacy created by both his parents, the late Dr. William Riley Bosien and Dr. Marian Kreider Bosien, Tim touched and likely saved many lives throughout his career. Known for his marked intelligence, he was also gentle and big hearted with a generous nature. Tim grew up while being exposed to some of the most accomplished and dedicated people in the medical profession. Some of these folks are still practicing today and know of Tim’s unique qualities as a front line health care provider, many however, have passed. It gives us great solace to know, that Tim, along with all those fine people (legends if you would) are together once again.

Tim’s sister Cindy shares her last thoughts about her beloved little brother: This is Cindy Bosien…Tim’s Big Sister. Tim took his last breath at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, alert, at peace, and with his Beloveds holding his hand. He was responsive and engaged in life ‘til the last second. We had an unusually close brother-sister bond from the day he was adopted, and my grief knows no bounds. If you thought he was a rare individual, great in compassion, love, graciousness and sensitivity toward ALL life, human and nature…..you are right. A Great Light has moved on to even Greater Light. His faith in the God of Love was unwavering and justified. I hope his life has enriched all of yours, as he meant it to. I am very, very proud of him. Bye, ‘Bro.

Surviving is one sister, Cynthia Ellen Bosien of Mill Spring NC; one brother, William Mark Bosien of Washington DC; one nephew, Jason M. Jackman and three nieces, Jennifer M. Torgerson, Cassiopeia G. Smith and Laura R. Smith.

Tim’s sister wishes to thank Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, his dedicated volunteers, and Johnna Searcy, RN, for the love, support, and care they provided for Tim.
