Final Summer Tracks show of the season featuring Queen Bee and the Honeylovers

Published 11:19 pm Tuesday, September 3, 2019

The 20th Anniversary Season of Tryon’s most popular summer event —Summer Tracks — continues on Friday, September 6th, with Queen Bee and the Honeylovers.

Queen Bee and the Honeylovers is an unabashedly joyful swing band that performs all-original compositions with a dedicated ‘nod’ to the small-jazz-combo and ‘hot club’ legends who first defined the genre. Their arrangements are upbeat and nostalgic – with enough ‘sweetness” for the whole hive. Their CD titled “Asheville” was released this Spring showcasing all original songs and has been featured on WNCW radio. Vocal-driven with an infectious groove, the Honeylovers are Whitney Moore (vocals, snare), Mattick Frick (guitar, vocals), Trevor Stoia (bass), James Posedel (piano), Eric Heveroon-Smith (trombone) and Rich Wiley (trumpet).
