PCHS girls fall to Hendersonville

North Buncombe overcame Autumn Owen’s 30-point effort Wednesday to hand Polk County a 67-49 defeat in a non-conference girls basketball clash in Weaverville. Owen added six rebounds for Polk County (1-6). Ansley Lynch finished with nine points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Wolverines. Bella Marino added four points, with Sara Muse and Mariah Overholt each scoring two and Taylor Newton and Julia Griffin finishing with one.
