Landrum Police identify male suspect in L’il Cricket assault case

Landrum Police have identified, but not yet released the name, of a male suspect involved in an assault and battery incident on the morning of September 4 at the L’il Cricket at 715 S. Howard Ave.

According to the incident report, the suspect entered the store at 9 a.m., and went back and forth between the bathroom and the store. He asked the clerk for help with the condom machine in the bathroom, and when she complied, he put his hand in his pants and reached for her. She left and called the police.

The male suspect was described as white, six feet tall, thin build, approximately 140 pounds, wearing oval shaped eyeglasses.

As of press time, the Landrum Police were waiting on a judge’s signature on the warrant for the suspect’s arrest.
