Southern gardening for a bountiful harvest

Landrum Library will host Gardening for a Bountiful Harvest on Tuesday, April 22 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.A master gardener will be on hand to discuss a multitude of issues related to gardening in the south and how to maximize harvest.

Topics to be discussed include: Soil, Ph, and Fertilizers, Compost and compost tea, Planning what you want to grow, What grows well in the South, Perennials, annuals and fruits, Raised beds and vertical gardening, Growing from seeds or plants, Pick early and often, Mulch your plants and watering, and how to add something new in your garden each year.
