2 suspects took 50-60 lbs. of brass from hopper

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects caught on video taking scrap brass from Bommer Industries in Landrum.

According to Bommer employee David Justice, sometime during the night of April 26, unknown persons came onto the property and took approximately 50 to 60 lbs. of scrap brass from one of the hoppers located at the back of the business.

Bommer is located at 19810 Asheville Hwy. in the Landrum community.

Spartanburg County investigators met with Justice and according to the police report, it is believed the point of entry and exit is the fence at the rear of the property that was cut on a previous incident.

Investigators said they believe the subjects left a pair of sneakers near the fence, according to the incident report.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has released video surveillance of the suspects in this case and is asking for the public’s help in their identification.
