Firecracker Jazz Band has a long history of delighting audiences with the sounds of Dixieland, New Orleans and early 20th-century Jazz. The group pays homage to greats such as Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong and Bix Beiderbecke, among others.

For more than two decades, this string and horn ensemble has graced many stages, from street corners of Asheville to the Kennedy Center and Bonnaroo—as well as festivals, dance halls, and secret speakeasies along the way.

With Tryon’s own Andrew J. Fletcher on keys, and featuring New Orleans’ vocalist Meschiya Lake (meschiyalake.com) for this special Summer Tracks performance, Firecracker Jazz Band promises an explosive, fun-soaked evening.

New View Realty of Tryon is Summer Tracks’ 24th Season Presenting Sponsor, and Green River Adventures, along with The Gorge of Saluda, are concert sponsors for this performance.

A full schedule, including performers bios and photos, can be found at www.summertracks.com.

All shows begin at 7 p.m. In case of rain, concerts will move across the street inside Tryon Fire Department. Manzolina’s will be selling hotdogs, wraps, ice cream, desserts, water and soft drinks. Alcohol consumption is allowed in the park but is not for sale. Audience donations, along with many local business and individual sponsors, make these shows possible.

Rogers Park is located at 55 W. Howard St. in Tryon.
