On June 5, from 10 a.m. to noon, Champions for Wildlife is partnering with Looking Glass Creamery in Columbus to host a morning of exploration and art for kids and their families. Attendees will fill nature journals with drawings and new discoveries as they explore trails, identify native animal species, identify birds, and learn about the importance of pollinators.

Kids and their families are invited, and activities are tailored to grades K-5.

This is a free event, but space is limited. To register for a spot, visit https://secure.qgiv.com/for/ssmai3/event/natureinyourbackyard/.

As local farmstead cheesemakers that also offer ice cream, Looking Glass Creamery focuses on happy cows, restoring their woodlands for wildlife, and planting pollinator-friendly gardens.

This is just one of several free events Champions for Wildlife will be offering this summer. On June 29, CWF will meet live box turtles while learning about these cool reptiles and creating box turtle art. In July, it will be back at Looking Glass Creamery for their Sunflower Daze, which includes free sunflower picking.

Champions for Wildlife, a local nonprofit, inspires and empowers kids to be champions for wildlife through art and education. The more you learn, the more you love, the more you protect. If interested in volunteering or making a donation, learn more at www.championsforwildlife.org.
