The Polk Central Pollinator Garden is buzzing with activity as fifth grade students gather to celebrate, observe, learn and work in their garden, guided by community partner Champions for Wildlife.
The blossoms have been spectacular this year, beginning with blueberry bushes, serviceberry and fringe trees, and continuing with a profusion of perennials.
The newly installed signage helps visitors understand the importance of these native plants and their insect guests to the local ecosystem.
