The Second Wind Hall of Fame is an organization that recognizes retirees who have done outstanding volunteer work in the Carolina Foothills. In addition to recognizing volunteers, the organization provides scholarships for adults in the community who are seeking additional education or training in their current or new careers.

The ‘Catch a Second Wind’ scholarship provides funds for an adult who is at least a high school graduate, has exemplary personal qualities, is a good citizen, is deserving and industrious, is, or has been in the workplace and has demonstrated a good work ethic, can demonstrate material benefit to be gained by additional training and plans to attend an accredited public or private college, university, community college or vocational institution.
